RETROSPECTIVE: Connection Latency

This morning customers have again been experiencing some latency connecting to and using the application. We have made a configuration change that has resolved the issue. The root cause of this and other connection related problems is new load balancing systems designed to manage the 99% of traffic that is now routed over HTTPS.

We're sorry for the disruption this has caused, and will continue to aim to quickly optimise things so that the service runs smoothly 100% of the time.
